The 2020 iRacing Endurance Series will see vehicles in four distinct sports car classes take on a calendar featuring team-based racing on four of the world’s most prominent road courses. Headlined by the premier GTE class and including entries in GT3, GT4, and TCR, the series kicks off in April and will see events every other month. Each event will be 12 hours in length and will have a year long points series similar to the oval NiS.
The four-event 2020 iRacing Endurance Series calendar is as follows:
- April 18-19: Suzuka Circuit
- June 27-28: Silverstone Circuit
- August 8-9: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
- October 17-18: Circuit of the Americas
Six vehicles will compete in the 2020 iRacing Endurance Series across the following four classes:
- GTE: BMW M8 GTE, Porsche 911 RSR
- GT3: Ferrari 488 GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3
- GT4: Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport
- TCR: Audi RS 3 LMS TCR
iRacing Endurance Series events will start on Saturdays at 1:00 and 13:00 GMT.
Greg West also mentioned:
iRacing also has some fun and NEW events and series on the horizon for the 2020 that feature both
team and individual events as well as some amazing prizes. In order to allow for these events/series, we did have to make some difficult choices on the stand-alone special event schedule. I can assure you that these changes were not made lightly and open up many new opportunities for 2020 and beyond. I would urge those that are invested in both the Roar and the 6 hours at the Glen to take a look at the iLMS and eLMS series as there are great opportunities for both individual and team racing in those series.
Regarding the “fun and NEW” events and series, we will be making those announcements soon. I can tell you however that they will be completely separate from our current series and special events.
