Join the iRacing Nürburgring 24h

The iRacing Nürburgring 24h is an exciting endurance event for sim racing enthusiasts, and it’s set to take place from May 12-14, 2023. This 24-hour endurance race will be held on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, which is one of the most challenging and infamous race tracks in the world. The event will also utilize part of the GP-Strecke course, making it a total lap length of 16.1 miles (25.9 km). Here’s everything you need to know about the event:

Days and Times:

The iRacing Presents the Nürburgring 24h event will run for 24 hours straight. There will be four timeslots for the race, which are as follows:

  • Timeslot #1: Friday 22:00 GMT / 5:00 pm EST
  • Timeslot #2: Saturday 7:00 GMT / 2:00 am EST
  • Timeslot #3: Saturday 12:00 GMT / 7:00 am EST
  • Timeslot #4: Saturday 16:00 GMT / 11:00 am EST

Track, License, and Sim Date:

The event will take place on the Nürburgring Combined – Gesamtstrecke 24h track. The license required to participate in the race is D 4.0 Road. The Sim Date, which is the time of day setting, is May 20, 2023. The Session Start Time is 3:13 PM.

Session Format:

The iRacing Nürburgring 24h race will have a warmup session of 20 minutes before the start. The qualifying session will be attached and solo, with each driver getting 25 minutes for two laps. The race will be a 24-hour endurance event, with dynamic weather conditions. The splits will be divided by iRating. The event is a team event, which means that a team must have a minimum of two drivers and a maximum of 16.

Rules and Regulations:

The race will have a Stop and Go Limit of 100 incidents, and every 20 incidents after that will result in a stop and go penalty. There is no DQ Limit. The field size for the race is 55 cars.

There are several cars and classes available for participants to choose from in the iRacing Presents the Nürburgring 24h race. The BOP (Balance of Performance) will be announced one week before the event and will be reevaluated and adjusted as needed on the Wednesday prior to the event. The available cars and classes are:

Multi-make Classes:

  • GT3 Class: BMW M4 GT3
  • GT3 Class: Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020
  • GT3 Class: Porsche 911 GT3 R
  • GT4 Class: Aston Martin Vantage GT4
  • GT4 Class: Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR

Single Make Classes:

  • Cup:Porsche 992 GT3
  • Touring:Audi RS3 LMS
  • Spec:Toyota GR86
