Three more advance to the Chase for the Brick

Paint the Yellow’s Brick Cup Series night two at Talladega Superspeedway is in the books. Three more winners have advanced their way into the Chase for the Brick, assuming they all make at least 10 starts within the regular season.

Jack Honeycutt returns to victory lane at Talladega

Jack Honeycutt returned to racing on Monday night and took the victory in the Brick Cup Series. Logan Dougherty finished second, Edward Smith third, Paul Covington and Paul Manghan fifth.

Kyle Devitt finished sixth, James Howard seventh, with Damie Long, Gary Horsley and Dave McArthur rounding out the top ten.

Jack also punches his ticket to the Chase as long as he makes 10 starts and stays near the top 10 in points.

Logan Dougherty holds off field on final lap

logan_dougherty_truck_dega_winLogan Dougherty landed in victory lane at Talladega in Thursday night’s Brick Cup Series race. Tandem partner Kyle Devitt finished second holding off James Howard and Doug Moore in third and fourth. Jack Honeycutt and Donald Hagan finished fifth and sixth respectfully.

Rod Schopf finished sixth, followed by Paul Manghan, Ihor Bilyy and Butch Frazier rounding out the top ten.

Logan Dougherty also raced his way into the Chase for the Brick assuming he starts 10 races.

Moustakas celebrates Brick Cup win at Talladega

tom_moustakas_dega_gen6_winTom Moustakas came home victorious in the final race of night in Paint the Yellow’s Brick Cup Series at Talladega. Tom fought through lapped traffic on the final lap to finish ahead of James Howard who ran out of fuel.

Tyler Stelluti finished third with Kyle Devitt and Gary Horsley fourth and fifth. Paul Covington brought his Ford Fusion home in sixth, with TJ Smith, Ihor Bilyy, Paul Manghan and James Tory rounding out the top ten.

Moustakas’ victory gave him a tentative spot in the Chase, with Logan Dougherty, James Howard, Jack Honeycutt and Paul Covington.
